Chief Justice Joaquim Barbosa receives the Ambassador of Egypt

The Chief Justice of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF),  Joaquim Barbosa, received today (7) the visit of the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Brazil, Hossameldin Mohamed Zaki Ibrahim. The ambassador, who was  recently  assigned as the head of  the diplomatic representation of Egypt in the country, said it was a courtesy call, and that it was "imperative" to come to meet personally the president of the Brazilian Supreme Court, "which has an exceptional institutional value in defense of democracy, the rule of law and the secular state. "

Justice Barbosa and the ambassador exchanged points of view on the current political and legal system of the two countries and at the end of the visit, the President of the court presented the visitor with an English edition of the Constitution, a special publication on the history of the Supreme Court and a book on the work of architect Oscar Niemeyer.
