Federal Supreme Court facilitates access to the case law of the Court

The Brazilian Federal Supreme Court has released, on Monday (8), the new website of Livraria do Supremo (Supreme Court's Library). With new design and functionality, the site allows visitors to find all the editorial publications of the Supreme Court in a more organized and accessible way.

Court rules, STF informatives, collections of case law, works on various branches of law and on the life and work of Justices are available for free in PDF, EPUB (for tablets and digital readers), MOBI (for kindle) and also in MP3, following the trend of greater dissemination of digital players.

Printed versions can be purchased at the cost of printing. "Quality information accessible to all. This is the purpose of our bookstore ”, said STF Coordinator for Disclosure of Precedents, Juliana Cardoso.

According to her, the main objective of the bookstore has always been to disclose the Court's case-law. Inaugurated in 2008, it has more than 12 thousand registered clients, including lawyers, academics, students, representatives of public and private libraries and interested citizens.

Among the most sought publications are "The Constitution and the Supreme", composed of the constitutional text followed by excerpts from monocratic decisions and Court judgments, the book "STF Information: Theses and Foundations", in addition to the Federal Constitution of 1988 and the Court Rules.

The editorial publications of the STF go through the selection, revision and layout processes in the Court They are then made available online and some copies are printed for sale in the physical store. Each edition receives the necessary jurisprudential updates.
