Justice sees no urgency in requesting of the defense of President Temer to have access to audios

Monday, July 24, 2017

The Chief Justice of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF), Carmen Lúcia, concluded that the request of the defense of the President of the Republic, Michel Temer, in the Inquiry (INQ) 4483, to have access to the seven audio files recovered from recorders used by businessman Joesley Batista to record a conversation with the chief of the Federal Executive, does not have the urgency to justify its performance during the holiday period. In the order, the justice determines that the petition be sent, with priority, to the manifestation of the Federal Attorney General, Rodrigo Janot.

Justice Carmen Lúcia concluded that the case does not fits into the provisions of article 13, item VIII, of the Internal Regulation of the Supreme Court.
