Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) announces 2017 Activities Report

In 2017, 126.531 decisions were issued, of which 105.300 were final, registering the highest number of cases (115.402) and the lowest final collection of the last five years (45.437). The report also highlights that 71.7% of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) procedural acquis, as of 12/31/2017, already had a final decision.

The Brazilian Federal Supreme Court's (STF) Activities Report 2017, which presents the highlights of the year in the Court, the main results of the judicial proceeding, the actions aimed at strengthening transparency and institutional relations, as well as management and governance activities.

The report can be accessed on the STF website, under the Transparency/Strategic Management tab. Among the highlights are the inauguration of Justice Alexandre de Moraes, the signing of protocol of intentions between the STF and the Chamber of Deputies in commemoration of the 29th anniversary of the Federal Constitution, the meetings of the Chief of Justice Cármen Lúcia with the presidents of the Courts of Justice (TJs) and the Federal Regional Courts (TRFs), as well as the public hearings held.
