Ten Justices voted on restricting the scope of the jurisdictional prerogative to federal parliamentarians

After the votes of Justices Dias Toffoli and Ricardo Lewandowski, the decision on the issue of order in Criminal Action (AP) 937 was suspended, in which the Plenary meeting of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) discusses the possibility of restraining the scope of the jurisdictional prerogative to the federal parliamentarians. So far, ten Justices have voted on the matter: seven in the sense that the privileged jurisdiction applies only to crimes committed in the exercise of the office and due to the functions related to it, and three that it should be valid for crimes committed in the exercise of the position, but attaining all common criminal offenses, whether or not they related to public functions. The trial continues on Thursday (3) to collect the last vote, from Justice Gilmar Mendes.
