National Council of Justice hosts a seminar on Freedom of the Press

The Chief Justice, Cármen Lúcia, will chair the opening table and the initial conferences will be delivered by the federal deputy Miro Teixeira and Rosiska Darcy, journalist, writer and member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters.

Throughout the day three, panels will be held with the participation of journalists and lawyers with experience in the subject. The panel "Freedom of Expression and a Free Press: current challenges" will be coordinated by Justice Aloysio Corrêa da Veiga, of the Superior Labor Court, and will be attended by Claudio Lamachia, president of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), and by the journalists Renata Lo Prete and Fábio Pannunzio.

The panel "Old and new shapes of censorship?" will be coordinated by the president of the Brazilian Press Association (ABI), Domingos Meirelles, and will be attended by Judith Brito, member of the National Association of Newspapers (ANJ), by journalists Helena Chagas and Carlos Lindenberg, and also by the lawyer Tais Gasparian. In "New media: Facts, versions and fakes", coordinated by the journalist Valdo Cruz, the exhibitors are Professor Fabro Steibel and the journalists Cláudio Dantas and Felipe Recondo, as well as lawyer and journalist Miguel Matos.
