Exhibition in the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court displays illustrations made with ballpoint pen

The exhibition has 60 works related to the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF), Brasília and other Brazilian cities, as well as illustrations with playful themes.

The designer makes a daring proposal in the choice of materials, since the traces of each illustration cannot be erased or corrected. The images are full of textures, shadows and perspectives. The objective of the exhibition, promoted by the Secretariat of Documentation of the STF, is to honor the talents hidden in the Court.

This is the first exhibition of the artist who left São Luís (MA) with the dream of being an illustrator and arrived in Brasilia in 1999. Jailson had not drawn for five years, when, in 2013, he started working at the STF and returned to illustrate.

TV presenter and artist Daniel Azulay was Jailson's introductory reference to drawing in childhood. Currently one of his greatest references is the Dutch graphic artist Maurits Cornelis Escher.
