Solemn Session of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Federal Constitution on Thursday (4), at 2:00 p.m.

The Justices of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) will meet at 2:00 p.m. this Thursday (4) in a solemn session to commemorate the 30 years of the Federal Constitution of 1988. The solemnity celebrates the "Citizen Constitution", whose promulgation marked the consolidation of democracy in Brazil and whose content sought to prioritize the individual and collective rights of the citizen. As a result of the solemn session there are no trials to be heard on Thursday.

Among the guests for the solemnity are the President of the Republic, Michel Temer, the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate, Rodrigo Maia (DEM / RJ) and Eunício Oliveira (MDB / CE), respectively, retired STF's Justices, Justices from superior courts and other instances of the Judiciary, the Attorney General of the Republic, Raquel Dodge, the Attorney General of the Union, Minister Grace Mendonça, the President of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association, Claudio Lamachia, presidents of associations of magistrates, governors, deputies and senators and constituent parliamentarians, who worked on the elaboration of the current Federal Constitution and members of the Public Defender's Office.
