Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) releases commemorative webpage for the 30 years of the Citizen Constitution

The content can be accessed from the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court's (STF) page on the internet ( and contains statements from Justices of the Supreme, the history of all Brazilian Constitutions since 1824, a documentary and a gallery of outstanding images of this period, among other contents.

There is also a list of the main rights guaranteed by the 1988 Constitution and a series of special issues produced by the Office of Social Communication of the STF in partnership with Justice TV, Justice Radio and the National Council of Justice (CNJ). Throughout the month of October, the site will be fed with special reports, in an unprecedented action integrated among the channels participating in this initiative.

The Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil, also known as the Citizen Constitution, is the seventh in the history of the nation. It determines the State's duties, rules for the Powers of the Republic, and the rights and duties of citizens. The last three decades represent the longest period of democratic stability in the country's history.
