Chief Justice of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court was honored by the Military Police of São Paulo with the Brigadier Tobias Medal

The Chief Justice of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF), Justice Dias Toffoli, at a ceremony held at Barro Branco Military Police Academy of São Paulo, received, on Friday, a Brigadeiro Tobias Medal for military personalities (9) and civilians for the relevant acts provided for the benefit of the Military Police. The honor was created and made official by the Decree 45.648 / 1965, in honor of the memory of the Brigadier Rafael Tobias de Aguiar, founder of the Bandeirante Militia.

On behalf of all the honorees, the Chief Justice of the Federal Supreme Court was honored to receive the medal and thanked the Military Police and all military officers of the State of São Paulo. "There are almost 100,000 active men and women, and tens of thousands in reserve, changing their lives for the defense of all of us citizens, ensuring that we can live in peace, restfully," he said.

Were present in the ceremony the Justice Alexandre de Moraes, the governor of the State of São Paulo, Márcio França, and the commander-in-chief of the Military Police of the State of São Paulo, Colonel Marcelo Vieira Salles, among other authorities.
