"Award contributes to the strengthening of judicial institutions" says Chief Justice of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) at the launch of the Innovare Prize 2019

The launch, for the Chief Justice, is cause for enthusiasm and satisfaction, "because it marks the beginning of a new and promising stage in the search for the improvement and expansion of access to Justice in Brazil". In this edition, the theme is free for all categories, but there will be an outstanding prize for the practice focused on the promotion and defense of human rights. In that regard, the president emphasized that, although the country has made great strides in this area, problems such as social and regional inequalities, poverty, marginalization, at-risk childhood and youth, and gender and race discrimination, among others, impede the accomplishment of citizenship. "In this scenario, we must remain firm in the quest for efficient, transparent and responsible jurisdictional performance. A judiciary that really does justice in people's lives," he said.
