Chief Justice of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court emphasizes the importance of judging processes that deal with health issues

The Chief Justice of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF), Justice Dias Toffoli, opened the special session on Wednesday morning (22), stressing the importance of analyzing processes that involve issues related to access to health, in order to guide the performance of the Judiciary on the subject.

"It is fundamental, therefore, that, under the parameters of the commitments assumed and determined by the Constitutional Charter, this discussion should be carried out in order to have the best possible orientation of the Judicial Branch," said  Chief Justice Dias Toffoli.

He noted that all the justices of the Court had the opportunity to receive memorials with information on the subject, the parties involved in the proceedings, in addition to representatives of patient associations and health councils, as well as public administrators of municipalities, states, Federal District and Union.
