Judiciary and Legislative work to unlock public works, says Toffoli

The Judiciary is part of the national commitment to contribute to the Brazil's adequate development, participating in strategies to create new public policies, within its competence. The statement by the president of the National Justice Council (CNJ) and the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF), Chief Justice Dias Toffoli, took place during the installation of the External Commission to Accompany and Monitor the Completion of Paralyzed and Unfinished Public Works in Brazil, on this Tuesday (2/6), in the Chamber of Deputies.

The work of the Judiciary on the issue has been proactive, through the articulation of the CNJ, aimed at proposing solutions for the resumption of Brazilian economic growth, as President Toffoli affirmed. In partnership with the TCU and the Association of Members of the Brazilian Courts of Auditors (Atricon), the CNJ initiated a project with the objective of arriving at a diagnosis of the situation, in a joint effort not only to map the public unfinished works, but identify the processes that led to the paralysis.
