The Brazilian Federal Supreme Court's Presidency analyzes more than 3.600 cases during forensic vacations

In July, during the forensic vacation of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) Justices, 2.123 decisions were made by the Chief Justice of the Court, as well as 1.597 orders. In addition to the lawsuits under the Presidency's competence, it is up to the Chief Justice to decide on urgent matters during recess or vacation, pursuant to article 13, item VIII, of the STF's Internal Rules. In total, 3.654 cases were analyzed. Of these, most are appeals (AI, ARE, RE): 2.244 lawsuits. Chief Justice Dias Toffoli also examined 654 Habeas Corpus, 464 Complaints and 25 concentrated constitutional review lawsuits.
