Brazilian Federal Supreme Court holds BRICS Supreme Court Seminar in October

The Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) will host on October 24th and 25th the Seminar of the Supreme Courts and Constitutional Courts of the BRICS member countries on “Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence: Good Practices, Opportunities and Challenges for the Judiciary”.

For the Chief justice of the Brazilian Supreme Court, Dias Toffoli, the event will be another relevant step in the engagement of the Brazilian judiciary in the development and improvement of technological solutions and artificial intelligence.

“Our main objective is the continuous technological improvement aimed at promoting legal certainty and a fast and effective legal assistence for the citizen,” said Toffoli, stressing that the Supreme Court will be permanently open to dialogue with the Judiciary of other countries and with the gym.

The Chief Justices and Deputy Chief Justices of the High Courts of South Africa, China, India and Russia have already confirmed their presence at the event. The STF seminar predates the 11th BRICS Summit, which will take place in November in Brazil and is being organized by the Brazilian government.
