At a meeting in the office of Justice Alexandre de Moraes, of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF), on Thursday (5), agreement was reached on the destination of the R $ 2.6 billion (in updated values) recovered from Petrobras as of Operation Carwash. Of this amount, R $ 1.6 billion will go to education and R $ 1 billion to protect the environment.
Justice Alexandre de Moraes is rapporteur on the Action Against the Violation of a Constitutional Fundamental Right (ADPF) 568 and Grievance (RCL) 33667, which have as their object the agreement signed between the Federal Public Prosecution Service (MPF) and Petrobras for the allocation of the amounts transferred by the company pursuant to an agreement with the United States Department of Justice.
