After meeting with Minister of Health, the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) decides to maintain in-person sessions


The Chief Justice of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF), Dias Toffoli, brought together authorities from the three Powers this monday (16) to discuss common measures against the new coronavirus. Representing the Executive, the Minister of Health, Henrique Mandetta, made clarifications about the outbreak to the participants.

After meeting with the Minister of Health, Dias Toffoli met with justices of the Court, who understood sufficient for the moment the prevention measures adopted under Resolution No. 663 for the maintenance of the face-to-face sessions. In addition, the Supreme Court will carry out daily monitoring with the Ministry of Health to support the adoption of any new measures.

Other proposed actions refer to the expansion of the virtual plenary and the holding of a meeting with the Attorney General's Office, General Advocacy of the Union, Public Defender's Office and Court of Auditors on the formality required for the acquisition of inputs and medical assistance.
