The Justices of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) approved, in a virtual administrative session closed this Wednesday (1st), changes in the Court's Internal Rules (RISTF) and in Resolution 642/2019 that will give more transparency and speed to the conduct of proceedings in the Court. One of the main changes is the need to submit to the STF Plenary's referendum the rapporteur's decision on a request for an injunction relief against acts of the presidents of the Republic, the House of Representatives, the Federal Senate or the STF itself. According to the Chief Justice of the Court, Dias Toffoli, the inclusion of this requirement provides legal security and reinforces the sense of collegiality of the Plenary.
